Well, then, you are normal. Relational therapy or sex therapy (whether as an individual or couple) can feel intimidating to start but most clients quickly get comfortable. Please know that my job is not to judge you or your relationship, but to help you create a life you can be excited about.

Ensuring a good fit is important for both clients and the therapist which is why the initial consultation is important. You’re going to want to see if you feel comfortable and I want to gauge whether I believe I can best help you. The first few sessions will confirm our decision to work together. If either you or I feel it’s not an optimal fit, I will provide referrals to other therapists. Most of my clients describe me as warm and supportive but also challenging.

I am not in-network with any insurance and do not bill insurance directly for you. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement. Be aware that couples therapy or sex therapy may not be covered due to the diagnosis (V code) being relational distress. If one partner has a medical diagnosis, such as anxiety or depression, directly treated in therapy, your insurance may cover couples therapy.

Initial 15-minute consultation – free
50 min/session -- $160
75 min/session -- $240
Frequency-wise, I like to see my couples 1x/week, moving to lower frequency once we’ve made a good start and are moving forward. Often couples find that a 75-minute session is the most efficient, effective way to make progress. Individuals generally are seen 1x/week or every other week. The duration of therapy is highly variable and related to the goals of the client(s).
